Selenite crystals possess a mesmerizing translucence and a subtle, satiny sheen that the ancients believed waxed and waned with the moon. This particular example consists of two pristine crystals that radiate from a central point in an attractive "V" shape.

Impeccably formed and optically clear, the crystals feature peaked, beveled terminations, endowing them with a gemlike beauty.

They are further enhanced by a contrasting matrix (host rock) that gracefully curves around the crystals, enveloping them in a crescent shaped pocket.
