Description

Fluorite can form in a variety of shapes and in a myriad of colors. The top locales for fluorite have distinct characteristics which can allow seasoned collectors to identify a specimen’s origin by sight alone.

Asturias, a small region in the north of Spain, is one such locality, known for incredible cubic crystals that range between vivid tones of blue and purple.

This attractive example features several intergrown crystals with a classic, cubic habit. They are saturated in blue coloring with hints of purple.

Lustrous and translucent, the crystals have an alluring icelike beauty that is heightened by their cool hues.
